Location and Access

Santo Amaro da Imperatriz - SC. The municipality is called Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, but it is due to its thermal waters that became famous. The history of the waters of Caldas da Imperatriz begins around 1813, when hunters found a fountain and, when they bathed in their waters, had the sensation of rejuvenation. Legend also tells us that, nine months after the visit of Emperor Dom Pedro II and Empress Tereza Cristina to the same sources, Princess Isabel was born. Reality or fiction, Caldas da Imperatriz keeps a fascination that everyone loves. Distant 38 kilometers from Florianópolis, the city is at km 306 of Highway BR 101, clover of Palhoça.
